June 2020 – IDEST is pleased to announce that Jean-Paul Dispaux was elected as the new Chairman of the Belgian Quality Translation Association (BQTA), replacing Rudy Tirry who will now enjoy a well-deserved retirement after a very fruitful and active career at Lionbridge.

April 2020 - On 24 April, IDEST’s ISO-17100:2015 system was successfully audited (surveillance audit). The new certificate is valid until May 2022.

May 2020 – Following the TRAD19 tender, European Commission’s DGT awards a 4-year contract to IDEST: EN-DE-NL into FR (+40,000 p./year). No other bidder succeeded in obtaining a contract for these lots.

Spring 2019 - IDEST won the translation contract following the tendering procedure launched by the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES) for a total duration of 4 years (2018-2022).

August 2019 – IDEST won the largest chunk (85 %) of the EUIPO trademarks contract into French via the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (Luxembourg). A few language combinations were lost in the process.

January 2020 - IDEST is now the main contractor of the European Parliament for all translations into French (5-year contract for a total budget of M€ 5.85).

February 2019 - The Vade Mecum Initiative (BQTA – CBTI) has already held 2 meetings which will eventually lead to the adoption of model specifications addressed to Belgian authorities and which will be put on-line on BQTA and CBTI’s websites this Summer 2019.
